Onteco Corporation and its subsidiary, NexPhase Lighting, Inc., (“NexPhase”) are committed to the formation of strategic partnerships and alliances primarily with acknowledged industry leaders within their respective market spaces. To date, Onteco has initiated dialogues to establish such strategic alignments with leading providers of innovative alternative energy solutions. In similar manner, NexPhase has begun to initiate strategic alignments in order to position itself as an innovative industry leader in the LED lighting industry.
An example of such a strategic partnership, as announced on March 3, 2011, is the “Ingredient Branding and Trademark License Agreement” signed between NexPhase Lighting, Inc. and Cree, Inc. Cree, Inc. ( http://www.cree.com ), headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, is a market-leading innovator of lighting-class LEDs, and will provide NexPhase with their MX-6 LEDs for use in NexPhase troffers. Cree’s MX-6 provides better color consistency and higher reliability than incumbent solutions; and the MX-6 delivers higher lumen output without having to compromise between light output and efficacy.
Going forward, this agreement will allow NexPhase to display the CREE logo on its website, marketing materials and packaging, and represents an important co-branding of NexPhase product.
