I am very happy to have the letter in the contents of a Company email. I feel that it has more credibility now when viewed by recipients.
While Natcore didn't publicly state that they agree with my statements and calculations, they didn't ask me to remove them. Also, Dr. Flood said that he was impressed with the accuracy of the letter.
What a week!
Natcore Scientists Prove Feasibility of All-Quantum-Dot Tandem Solar Cell Could Double Power Output, Dramatically Reduce Costs
If Natcore commercializes the flexible thin-film roll-to-roll tandem cell (I'm confident that they will), I am now more confident that it's likely that Natcore will realize $333,000,000 of revenue for each gigawatt of product manufactured, or $3,333,000,000 for each 10 gigawatts. With the tandem roll-to-roll being less expensive to produce than the silicon tandem cell, net income %'s of 50-60 would not surprise me. At 55% net income, Natcore would realize $181,000,000 of profit per gigawatt, or $1,810,000,000 per every 10 gigawatts. This figure is well on the way to the predicted "unfathomable". These revenue figures are based on a mere $100 per 300 watts of tandem cell production (from the Company email).
