#19097 RE: Oiljob #19096

recap from a poster a couple days ago, good reading.
Joe - Thanks for responding, but can't say that I share your enthusiasm anymore. Every step taken, at least that we see, is a misstep. And to be honest, the defensive and often immature responses posted here by the company and as part of letters to the shareholders and so on just add to the mistrust. When you're trying to build a company and an image, you can't come across as a child on the playground looking to fight anyone who speaks negatively about you. Rather than an IR firm, they ought to consider hiring an English teacher to write anything they release to the public. Furthermore, I've been around the market a long time, and I can't think of any other company I've come across that spends so much time reading posts on message boards (here, yahoo and facebook) and responding either directly via a post or in letters to shareholders - pls let me know if you find this common. Yes, I'm sure the office gets bombarded with questions and "demands" for information, but most companies would ignore the demands and let the business eventually speak for itself. Do I give them credit for striving to be transparent from day 1 by posting contracts and other agreements, of course. But to be so defensive that you respond to almost every criticism posted in cyberspace and have someone who seemingly spends his entire day reading these posts is extremely unusual, and in many cases the responses and tone of such responses is unprofessional. What I meant by my earlier post is that I'm done defending the company and for giving them the benefit of the doubt. At this point I have no choice but to hold onto my shares as the remaining downside is a lot less than what I've already lost on paper. They can come up with 3 billion reasons why people are "bashing" this company and why the PPS is off 90%. But I do not fall into any of the categories they have come up with. I have been a long time shareholder who wanted nothing more than for the PPS to increase, but eventually common sense takes hold and you realize that something is very wrong here. And that's not questioning anyone's motives. Its simply saying nothing that these guys have done has worked and I just don't have faith that it ever will.
