I think the actions of the Congressional Super Committee will have a greater impact than anything NNVC might do in the coming year. They will be looking to cut the budget by an average $120 billion a year across the entire spectrum of government expenditures. Much of that is likely to target grants, development, and research funding.

I think NNVC management is prepared to go it alone and will not again make the mistake of counting on promises of grants or even partnerships.

I emailed Dr Seymour sometime last month about grants, and all he said is he doesn't want any federal money as it comes with too many strings (attached).
