I use GPS daily for my job. I purchased a power pack for my Iphone that looks similar to the Iphone case and it doubles my battery life.

I used it for my flights as a backup. With the power pack my Iphone last close to 13 hours

The technology is out there to extend the charge. Phoneguard is not the only app that drains your battery.

I see what your saying. I think there is a option to turn it off when not driving. It may be a hassel but can be done.

Yes I do have the free app on my phone and my kids phone. They installed it themselves. I don't monitor them. They turn it on only when they drive. I turn mine on when I drive and turn it off when i get to work. Took me a little while to figure out how to turn of the GPS part but once I got it, it takes 20 seconds and everything is off.

They do need to do something with the battery drain thou. I understand where your coming from. New tech. will hopefully solve the issue. HOW? I have no idea. I'm not tech literate.
It may be as simple as an on and off button that will do all necessary steps with one click. I don't know.

I like the idea of what they are doing. Is it needed? YES will it be used? YES

The big question to me is, will insurance companies step in and give a discount if you have it on your phone? ABS,good driving, security devices, multicar, zip code, etc etc all get discounts. Lets add in anti text hardware discount!!!
