It's certainly easy to lose faith, and I wouldn't discredit anybody that did.
But the real question is lose faith in what?
RMBS to $200? I've lost faith in that a long time ago. There's been a lot of wishful thinking going on. That's bound to deflate people sooner or later. My 'wishful thinking' is somewhere between $50 and $75 in 3 years.
Lose faith in Rambus technology? Hell no! Rambus is not stagnant; they keep innovating. They have turned their business from a one dimensional RDRAM business to a true chip interface business. Their PCI-E designs are top of the line. FlexPhase is great. They have the fastest parallel bus in the industry. XDR is the fastest DRAM. RaSer X technology is the fastest backplane serial link in the industry. Rambus is active in building design centers around the world as well as providing design seminars to in the US. They are aggressive in providing top notch turn-key designs.
All is not lost. Some may need to re-scope the faith. First get some realistic goals.
