Photo: Luc Cinq-Mars For many real estate fraud totaling nearly $ 558 000 committed in 2002 and 2003, the developer Serge Ollu will have to serve a sentence of two years less a day in the community together with a set of conditions to be met.
This decision was made Wednesday at the Montreal courthouse by Judge Suzanne Coupal. The latter explained qu'Ollu will spend the first eight months of his sentence at home, 24 hours on 24, except for reasons of employment or medical emergency.

For the second third, he will have a curfew to be observed between 23h and 7 am, with the exception of the holiday season, when he will simply keep the peace for the last third of the award.

Ollu must also perform 225 hours of community service over the next 18 less.

Reimbursement
Minutes before the sentencing, Ollu repaid the last money he had, or $ 59 500 at the Royal Bank and $ 75 000 at the Bank of Montreal.

"All the victims are now reimbursed in full," assured the lawyer Serge Ollu, Me Eliane Hogue, as he left the courtroom.

Its victims include the former journalist with the daily La Presse, François Trépanier was involved in this story. It appears that he has been "stolen" her house and that it was sold while he was away on vacation.

The forged documents were sufficient to mislead the notary and the bank. Ollu could then get a mortgage with the money and run.

The journalist has managed to recover against the property after multiple efforts. By cons, no charges have finally been brought against Ollu in this specific case.

Then he tried to repeat the shot to a new victim that he was arrested in 2003.
