Vesuvius, Inc., an intellectual property holding company, has been acquired by QUALCOMM, Incorporated. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The former management team of Vesuvius has established a new company, Vulano Group, Inc., (http://www.vulano.com). Vulano focuses on developing proprietary next-generation technologies and holding broad, dominant patent portfolios in multiple disciplines, including the wireless sector, telecommunications, enterprise and consumer software, security, bio-sciences, and medical devices. The company identifies future market opportunities and develops world-class intellectual property portfolios through its proven multi-step process, known as IPx.
