Well, it's done the opposite for me. When I see people whose opinions I greatly respect, like CharlesD and SixCents, suggest that this could go to $3, $5, $10, $20 a share, it encourages me to hold well past the $1 or so that I had originally planned. They provide the DD to support their prediction, and their DD is solid. So don't paint the results of their enthusiasm with too broad a brush, because it's certainly not driving me away!

Duly noted. We're a little excited by the long-term potential here, which is very real. I understand the "to the moon" concern, but this may be the rare example where it actually happens. Knowing that, it can be hard at times to control the excitement.
