there is so much wrong with what you just said but the bottom line is that this is still trading. first of all, there are no "halts". secondly, if a company is "suspended" by the sec, there is no advance notice. your broker would find out at the same time everyone else did. thirdly, you imply that there is something like a partial halt(very rarely ever do a complete halt). that is just nonsense. you have gotten a whole pile of bad info. next time you call, don't talk to the help desk. those are the dumbest people in the office. ask to speak to a compliance officer or shift supervisor. your chances of getting good info will be better then, but not guaranteed.
