I would really not like to see that. When Mr. Sam died of cancer I remember attending the Manager's meeting when they read aloud that the company wasn't going to change, and that the principles Mr. Sam held dear were going to stay the same.
I walked out of that meeting and turned to my buddy and we both agreed that everything would become corporate going forward, and that innovation, and individualism would give way to hard fast rules.
Listening to the letter just issued by the new Apple CEO reminded me of that meeting. Apple has been at the forefront of innovation with there products, I don't use them, but my children do, and they swear by them, they love them, and they have allowed both of my children to move forward in life.
Steve was never interested in a quarterly bonus check, there was once a movie about him and Gates and the competition between the two. I know it was just a movie, but Steve truly wanted to change the lives of everyone with a personel computer. He never stopped being an innovator, he is a truly remarkable person.
