I didn't say close the banks, I said take them over.
And propping up the FDIC through all of that with taxpayer dollars would have been cheaper than propping up the banking industry has been, so don't tell me it would have broken the FDIC.

If even the NYT could recognize it back in September of 2008, why couldn't Bush, Biden or Obama recognize it before they crammed TARP down our throats?
