Yes the original agreement licensed universal to just C&A. They own the rights to the original movie but since C&A is pdos's idea and property to make a sequel, universal would have to negotiate another contract with PDOS to make another movie. No way PDOS lets C&A 2 go without asking for way more money, especially when the first cost 160 mil to make. PDOS has positioned themselves to get far better deals simply with the exposure of C&A. Thats why I think a buyout will happen too because if a bigger company waits on them much longer they will be paying out the butt for their ideas or huge sums of money more than if they would buy them out short term. Plus a bigger company would find it more appealing they have a lot of debt too and because it gives the bigger company a bit more leverage for a buyout. I am just saying there is very little doubt in my mind that a buyout is being discussed somewhere here. There are just far too many people who are caught up in emotion here to see the big picture as the share price would indicate. lol. Rosenberg and another executive owns 51% of the stock so any negotiations for a buyout would only need to be cleared by them and no proxy would be needed. Rosenberg wants to make movies? Well if he gets bought out like his past company he will get that opporunity except this time everything he does will be high budget instead of low budget. lol.
