It's not a question of who you believe it's how do quantify "does DVIS really work?. Its was a lab demo. I see no evidence anywhere that this is next generation imaging device. It might be a clever adaptation and certainly find a place in the surgical suite and cat lab but technology continues to evolve with detectors and GPUs. I would bet the next gen GPUs boards will continue to push the processing speed and have built in 3d tools that will allow very quick post processing. We still don;t understand or know what the rendering and reconstruction method Dean employs? Without this knowledge we cannot say for certain this can work or not work or more importantly can this be approved with a 510K. If DVIS operates in a fundamentally different manner than the predicate, then trying to fit this through the 510K process would be a monumental waste of time and money. If you have been following IMGG for any length of time then "belief" soon gets chucked out the window no matter how many MTV spots they do. In Deans case the rule is :I hear what you say I see what you do"
