Buying on market crashes does not always work. The market crashed in the fall of 2008 but the bottom in the market was in March 2009 and was well below the immediate crash levels. The time to buy is when the European Debt crisis has abated for good because of defaults or some big plan that really solves the problem and when it is clear that another recession is not coming soon. The market could go much lower from here if the news is bad the rest of this year.
