Usually before you trade you are notified by the broker there will be additional fees. I use Choice Trade as a seconday account and when you try to sell an error message pops up if the company is non dtc compliant... However they did let me buy HFBG with no additional fees which does not seem right. You can buy but not sell....My main account Ameritrade lets you buy and sell no problem.
I tried to buy a stock two weeks ago and Penson did the same thing they did to this one. They required a $400 fee. So I didn't buy and the stock ran 1400%in the next two days. A month ago I tried to buy a stock that they did this to and it ran 500%. Now they won't let us buy this one. Maybe they know what they're doing but it's for themselves, not to protect us as they say. I plan to change to any broker that doesn't use them.
no, that post shouldn't be stickied,...HFBG is not responsible for any fees incurred during trading with this brokerage, and it is ridiculous for anyone to expect that....simply ludicrous!
I'm surprised she didn't ask you not to buy the stock anymore, sort of how Abercrombie and Fitch asked Jersey Shore's "The Situation" never to wear their clothing again...
