I believe the SHNs might be willing to take that deal if they could make it happen, but I'd wager they can't. My hunch is that the current WMI management of Alvarez and Marshal won't allow it, given their obvious ties to JPM, and no amount of whining by the SHNs will change their minds. There's a reason the debtors removed the SHNs as part of PORv6, and it's for that very same reason that they won't undo releases for JPM and the FDIC. JPM is pulling the strings. We just have to hope the judge see things for how they really are.
