I am not convinced Bernanke responding in kind to an extreme right wing teabagger is wise...teabagger pols crave media attention and if everyone responds to every crazy statement they make to raise campaign $$$, where does it end?
Besides, imo a response from Bernanke would not silence Perry on the Fed Reserve because it's a fav target of teabaggers - he'd just up the ante.
Perhaps the best approach would be for a Fed Reserve spokesperson to respond - even that I'm not convinced is wise.
