Who owns shares on the record date is usually determined at the close of the day. Sorry.

Nope. You had to have them at the close on the 29th so you sold em too soon.

Actually, Danbar, you probably WILL get the shares. The two replies you received stating that you probably will not get them failed to realize that the record date takes into account SETTLED trades, both purchased and SOLD.

I called my broker and they told me that the "three-day settlement rule" applies to both purchases AND sales, meaning your sale will not RECORD until two days later. So the person who BOUGHT the shares you SOLD on the 29th will NOT get the GoCom shares and you WILL, at least according to those rules.
