I am getting "free" medical coverage from Verizon and frankly I think that's ridiculous. Who gets "free" medical anymore unless you are a politician.

I don't think the Union would balk at paying into the medical plans except that Verizon is trying to take too much other stuff away at the same time.

The same goes for the telephone discount. If those two things were the only things the company wanted to take back, there would have been no strike.
