I used to caddy when I was young for my uncle who was a scratch golfer. He would never even ask me what club he needed. And I wouldn't dare suggest one either. I caddied for about four years with all sorts of players. Good and duffers. I'd suggest a club based on the distance but it was up to them to call the shot first.
