I do not know how many patent applications have been filed to date, but I do know that JBI's website indicates that the P2O process is "patent pending." This is stated not only in the heading you referenced, but on several different pages of the website. See, for example, the "Company Overview," "Plastic2Oil Why Us," "Plastic2Oil Business Model," "Plastic2Oil Overview," and "Products Overview." None of these pages indicates in any detail which aspects of the processor or process have attained patent pending status. Perhaps the next 10Q will provide further guidance in that regard.
However, given that JBI's website indicates that the company's "P2O process is now patent pending," I believe it is reasonable to conclude (as I have) that at least one patent application has been filed, and maybe the company has filed for the 5 separate patents that were referenced in the most recently filed 10 K/A. It bears noting that that same 10K/A indicates that the company is seeking patent protection for several aspects of both the P2O processor and the process itself. So, to answer your question, I cannot confirm how many patents the company has filed for, nor can I confirm which aspects of the processor or process are now patent pending.
This is not clear to me. Elsewhere in the same filing it states: "Mr. Bordynuik has patents pending under JBI to protect technologies that he has developed to recover data from old media." If this is important to you in making an investment decision, I would suggest contacting the company for clarity.
