JR, If I may ask, and you don't have to respond publicly, or in PM if you so choose, who are you referring to?
Matt likes to rehabilitate folks on IHub. That is why he set up a Jail as opposed to just terminating people.
I have a list of PIAs that probably should be terminated, but it is not my call, it is Matt's.
You may have to make the case for termination in each respective case here. That is sort of how it works here as far as I can tell. I am relatively new to the Jailhouse myself. There are a few posters here that I have gotten familiar with over the years and would like to see them out of Jail.
Terminating too fast would be a mistake in many cases. There are posters who have gotten out of Jail and follow the TOU agreement just fine.
Although the Jailhouse was created as a way to try to get members who have obviously broken one or more of IHUB's rules, I must agree that Matt is being far more tolerant of them than necessary.
It is, after all, his and Bob's website.
Neither of them as owners of IHUB have to tolerate their gibberish or even allow them to hang around on this website.
As entertaining as they may seem to be in this particular message thread, the question becomes how long can they be tolerated to hang out here in the Jailhouse? To what end does it benefit anyone else here on IHUB?
Here is my suggestion...
Once a member is placed in The Jailhouse, I propose that said member be given a period of 2 weeks to either SHAPE UP or SHIP OUT!
Sure, to some, the entertainment value may be lost, but overall, the credibility of IHUB will increase far more dramatically then the alleged babies that we toss out with the bath water! (an old old saying!)
I propose a new Message Board for IHUB.....
The PAROLE BOARD!
This Parole Board would be a thread whereby posters in the Jailhouse who continue to refuse to repent to the IHUB TOU be sent. On this Parole "BOARD", those outcast members would be granted only one post per day to attempt to gain parole.
Matt and Bob would select a Parole Committee that would be allowed to interact with those that have failed in their personal attempts here in The Jailhouse.
In other words, one could call this new thread an IHUB PRISON! As in real life, people get tossed in Jail everyday, but not all of them ultimately go to PRISON!
(A further thought.......perhaps we need a SOLITARY CONFINEMENT Thread.....a place where they can just post their thoughts to themselves.....only ONCE PER WEEK.....and we can all read what their thoughts are! Hmmmmmmmmmmm!)
Yeah, the Jailhouse is a fun thread to visit to interact with the jailed, but imagine how much more fun a PRISON Board or a SOLITARY CONFINEMENT Board could be!
