Well the US patent application was submitted a while ago, and the European one even earlier. But the petition to expedite was approved 8/2, which means examination of their patent for approval is probably beginning this week. Basically they jumped to the front of the line in their patent category.
There's no rule for how long the examination should take under this special program, but it shouldn't be long. The way things seem to be going, I would bet the patent gets approved before the SFIO trading lock is lifted. We'll see..
