Hey Gharma, thanks for weighing in with some more insightful input here.

>"You notice, twice I indicated that I did not believe AMY would have gone down this road if they felt water sufficiency would be a show stopper."

Yes, Gharma, i certainly did notice your saying this... I think all of us here are expecting positive outcomes, but keeping an open-minded healthy skepticism, and water, of course, is a big issue in the Southwest, especially after 10 years of some of the hottest years on record.

I bet the Tucson office of TetraTech (contracted by AMY for investigating enviro concerns) is going to be looking at these various water-related issues, among other things.

I haven't checked into the matter, but TetraTech likely has been involved in similar water topics with other Arizona mining ventures, so whatever they have to report should be based on experience, and i bet they've found avenues to preempt or resolve any possible problems.

JMO, but again i'll draw attention to the macro-picture: as the DoD Defense Stockpile Report of a few years ago has indicated, the USA needs a reliable, sustainable, domestic manganese resource, especially an operation like AMY that plans to create the value-added products EMM and EMD for steel, aluminum and battery industries. If a huge, water-guzzling copper mine can be operating in Arizona, along with other forms of mining, then i think AMY is somehow, some way gonna get the green light. National security will trump regional water wars.... again, JMO...

Thanks again, Gharma, for bringing up this issue.

AMY can truck AQUAFINA bottled water for all I care! LOL! It is going to be cheaper than China anyways!
