Seven and DFRAI -- Excellent post and congratulations on starting this board for American investors. I think investors who enter while the stock is in the .70s w/b be quite pleased with their decision. My initial buy was 1.16 but who could foresee the end of quarter selling by Pinetree and a couple of former directors.
The recent and projected growth of the solar business warrants the current share price while POET raises the potential for exponential growth. The soon expected announcement of a major investment banker to guide and promote commercialization of the POET chip will serve as a form of validation as it wouldn’t make sense for them to collaborate with a tiny microcap unless they concurred with POET’s potential.
It would be completely understandable for more conservative investors to wait for this announcement or to wait even longer to find out if BAE Systems is successful in completing the POET fabrication involving the optical connections but don’t expect a sub dollar entry. Dr Taylor and his team did just this at the Univ of Conn lab so it is highly probable that BAE will be able to duplicate the feat.
The typical investor, myself included, will never understand all the technicalities and the competing technologies. I take comfort in the fact that a number of technically qualified stockholders who attended the AGM and talked to Dr Taylor and the other scientists present in side bar conversations were reportedly genuinely flabbergasted at what they heard.
DFRAI – good to see you checking out OPL. Liquidity is much better on the TSX.V if you decide to purchase. Re the oil co, I’m no longer tracking it closely. Best of luck,
