It may be an issue with the some peoples wireless account, or AT&T/Verizon telecom equipment in that area. If there were issues with the app not working over 3G you wouldn't hear the end of it from hundreds of users.

Not true. I'm on a 3G iPhone through fido with no issues. Love the app!
