I would agree with your speculation that the attorneys are telling him to keep quiet. But I still stand by my contention that an innocent man who is watching his company go down the tubes would be declaring his innocence, and if the attorneys advised otherwise, he should fire them. If he had nothing to hide he would not have to be in hiding.
