I use DMI because experience taught me I can see more detail in DMI for swing trades. I use MACD on position trades, because detail is not needed and it is easier to see retail build in divergence.
I concider MACD a mid to long term indicator and DMI a short to mid term indicator. Neither better then the other, just one shows the info I want better then the other, for me.
