Favorite Go800 Marketing Campaign - VOTE NOW!

1) Thrifty Nickel Classifieds
2) Wall St. Journal Ticker Ads
3) Company YouTube Vids
4) Investors' YouTube Vids
5) Twitter
6) Tell Your Family & Friends
7) Other

Come on.... all these were great... great... however, the first is always best! The aggressive marketing campaign that took place in the Thrifty Nickel was unlike any other. Blitz marketing! Ha ha... Maybe I just vote for that one cause I can pronounce all the others and not laugh, and use them in other sentences and not laugh... but every single time I see or say Thrifty Nickel I have to chuckle, shake my head and like a crazy person... just keep repeating it.

Seismic Ripple

Not so much a 'campaign' as an oxymoron emblematic of the nonsense, obfuscation, unintended hilarity and absence of clear communication and follow through that comprised so much of Go800 'communications'.

It lives on in Google's search engine:

2, 1, 5, 6, 3, 4, and 7 are my votes. Although 7 is great because I can lump this conversation from the crack sales team at Go800 into this one:

Simplefunds: Send me a demo CD or something to work with here. Go800 sales: "We dont have that kind of technology"
Simplefunds: "Oh, ok, so I will sell this based off my zero sales skills?"
Go800 sales: "Yeah, pretty much."

long silence...cue hands on forehead for Simplefunds.

Maybe I should move number 7 to number 1. I'm sure this didnt just happen to me. The decisions are too tough.

Great question there yoyo. Here's my favorite. It came from the SXSW festival in Austin.

Gorilla marketing with Street Representatives coordinated by IF Communications continues in Austin this week.

Any marketing company who has ever conducted one, and any IR guy that was a former english teacher, should know it's GUERRILLA marketing, not GORILLA marketing.

I think maybe it would have been more succesful had they had a bunch of people running around in ape suits.

Talk about doing the bare minimum, what an idiot.. Should we venture to compare the money Ike made vs. the money spent in advertising?

I KNEW this "twitter" campaign was a joke. The moment I read about it...it sounds good in theory. But, everyone has contacts in their phones, gmail, etc. to make calls.

I wonder if they ever got to 50,000 clients?

Wow...I missed a bunch.

Thanks for contributing everybody, being 'ubiquitous' & all you can see how it'd be easy to miss a few. Lots of favorites out there apparently

Yeah, when they're all lined up like that it's pretty impressive...indeed.
