Good find whoever found this. As i often preach, once companies begin to get over the coolness/novelty factor of QR codes and realize their true potential, they WILL want something more secure or a more personalized way to use these codes. If you think I am wrong just look at how personalized email companies (ConstantContact, ExactTarget, etc) took off recently. Companies couldve just "spammed" everyone for a whole lot less instead of going with targeted campaigns. And unless they want to make 1k's of web pages, they will have to cross NeoMedia's patent of the DB lookup with these personalized QR codes.
It is only a matter of time...keep the faith!!
