Thanks deer. It does blink when I screw in the battery to the case. Also, after inserting and removing the e-cig (with cartridge and everything attached) a few times, the slot got a little bigger and there is no problem removing the e-cig and the cartridge being removed. This cig is great. My friend who also enjoys e-cigs (helped him cut down on tar cigs) is buying a few shares today.

I tried it both ways, filter first and light first. Neither way worked for me?? Filter pulled off.
