On the other hand, Hugh Grant, MON’s CEO, exercised and sold 151K shares @$75 on 7/12/11 & 7/13/11 for cumulative proceeds of about $11M (http://sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1083211/000111078311000059/xslF345X03/edgar.xml ).

Grant still has about 500K shares and many options. He bought $3M of MON stock on the open market during 2010 (#msg-55718049).

Monsanto's stock action is driven by its sector more than anything. Secondly, Monsanto's stock performance has been and probably will end up to be nothing special compared to the group.

If corn or crop demand is up, I'd certainly be more interested in one of the common denominators to farming rather than one seed producer.
