It would seem an actual licensed residential builder does NOT agree with you. In fact a lot of them don't. I recently attended one of the premier builder conventions in the country for four days and those styles of crapinets were NO WHERE to be seen. And when I say nowhere, I mean I saw nothing whatsoever even remotely close. The new look is clean, modern and 21st century European influence. The crap Expo is attempting to sell is straight out of the 1990s. That isn't an opinion...ask somebody who is actually INVOLVED in building custom homes. I don't expect to see a truthful retort because there is no one actually BUILDING upscale that would use that gawdy over-ornate crap...besides maybe a back woods dentist in downtown Hicksville, NC. Who's kidding who? How about we just check sales for an answer...let's see. Hmmmm. ETC and CIMA? One dentist, one display home (free cabinets in exchange for the publicity I would wager on the display home). That would be what? About $3500 in actual sales against an estimated $1.5M in CIMA/ETC related G&A expenses so far? Yeah, that sounds like "styles that are selling across the industry". Guess Expo is just in the wrong "industry"...or maybe that's why they recently moved into the doghouse market so strongly ;-). IMHO.
