The fact that they've been credited in the movie?

No one knows all the details, hence the speculative nature of the stock.

It's a pretty reasonable assumption to make though IMO.

Check Marvel Studios, they were bought by Disney for $4 Billion, I'm not saying PDOS is Marvel, but they are a mini-marvel, obviously these kinds of companies are worth quite a bit and make lots of money. Even if you only think Platinum is worth 1% of that we are way undervalued.IMO

This is a post from the then President of Platinum Studios Brian Altounian, he has since left and started up his own company last year. He is vague as far as hard numbers go, you will not find hard numbers anywhere, you will just have to wait for the financials to come out like the rest of us. The big studios do not want everyone to know what the terms of the deals they make are because then everyone in the future will want those same terms.IMO

As for what Platinum receives on that deal, there is a rights acquisition fee of almost $2MM on greenlight of the film. That fee will have bumps upon certain box office milestones so it could increase by another $2MM or more over the year following release. There is also participation in DVD sales and other merchandising and licensing revenues. Amounts to quite a bit for PDOS.
