If the news is significant enough, we should push though since new investors will be jumping on board and the longs will be scrambling to cancel their sell orders.

If the news is so-so, then the dynamic you discuss will come into play as it always does. This stock has not been a flipper's play for quite a long time, so I think that is in our favor since fewer flippers will descend on PIHN when news does hit.
