agree that some communication is better than none - certainly less frustrating for the moment, even if nothing comes of it. however, the ones that do most of the chewing on this board have pretty much been the same core over the past several years. we entertain each other from time to time; but, this is not the disney board, and entertainment is not the company business. that being said, i remain hopeful that matt is doing what he can and that this will turn around eventually (see, i didn't say "soon"). not betting the house, not pretending to know something i don't know, just keeping the misfit faith, though a pragmatist might say it is undeserved. classic definition of faith is "belief in something that you can't see."
just read an article about yogi berra - seems those still sticking around here have out of necessity just adopted his truism, "it ain't over til it's over." i have also adopted another saying "a watched pot never boils", so i don't hang around as much as i used to (not that it makes any difference, and not that i don't enjoy the banter).
it remains that documentation of any actual development or movement, as opposed to posturing, is what it will take to have positive effect on value of our investment(assuming there are some outside followers to pick up on that). until then. . . . i just remind myself that i enjoy novels as much as non-fiction. good luck to matt and to us all. does't hurt to think good thoughts, eh? there is a "law of attraction". (got to go, have worn out the quotation mark key on my keyboard.)
