Being a large shareholder, I was one of the first customers to visit the Los Gatos restaurant right when it opened and came back many times with family and friends to sample the menu items. We loved the food and my wife and a few friends also posted on "YELP" giving the restaurant 4 and 5 star ratings, as had many other customers in addition to those few who didn't care for the food as the post showing here. I understand why Yelp has had so many law suits against it by businesses, as they drop off all the positive comments unless businesses pay for advertising and always leave on the bad ones. Heck, no restaurant in the country gets 100% approval of its food!
What we did find in our visits to SMKY's restaurant was that many people in that local market did not like the plastic tableware including the plastic wine glasses and the sbob factor in that area is huge. It was as if some were knocking the food because of that issue whether they liked it or not. But, on several occasions we heard customers ask to buy cold packages of the food they were having to take home, so my advise to you before taking Yelp for any level of reality is to sample SMKY food for yourself. I've seen all the posts from the past week or so from those ordering the special offer, as I did, and it's quite obvious SMKY's food is exceptional.
