Scenerio (1), the 40% probability event, would actually dove-tail with what I wrote on 12/3/02: message-607807

So far the first half of that scenerio has come true; past performance is no guarantee of future prospect. But I have to say, I'm impressed by the Cabbages' bearishness at the beginning of December amid a sea of bullishness and expectation of only minor pullbacks for the month of December. Mr. Market tossed in an additioal week of hard retrenchment just for good measure.
