Are you of the belief that there's a form of central intelligence responsible for coordinating manipulative actions? My sense is that a lot of folks and quants apply their logic without consideration of emotional input. I don't ever allow emotion to rule my stock investing actions, I've seen how it gobbles up naive turkeys. When I see I'm moving against a particular feeling within myself, I draw back and table the motion, pending greater clarity. This I do so as to avoid shooting myself in the foot.
