#8939 RE: techisbest #8934

techisbest,

more and more, it looks like the recycling of biomass in from paper sludge back into paper will be the application that tilts the economic scale in favor of commericial viability.

Yeah I understand that quite well and read you well but R&D often takes unexpected turns.

The picture unfolding with SNT may turn out to be a mirage. An effort intended to develop long life produce has turned into a monster few yet know about. It is only 2 or 3 years ago since researchers discovered the genes for super plants were ubiquitous in animals as well and now there are attempts to cure all manner of diseases in man that dwarfs the incredible dreams of GERN. They already have happy mice that have survived cancer and stroke and heart attacks and glaucoma. That glaucoma is a puzzler to me too.

Among the plants that are being developed with better genes is the lowly yeast that has been licensed to Broin Companies for better ethanol production.

Strange twists indeed.

We will see how things unfold here. I think you will agree that recycling paper may not be all there is but that by itself will be very good.

Best, Terry
