Are you aware of any company (manufacturer) that provides this information?

CEO updated the count January 2011 (posted in iBox too) and its pretty easy to track additions in non-Canadian countries. In fact iBox was updated for USA as of 5/29/11.

First told (err..board constantly told) it doesn't matter, that it's inaccurate (some on don't carry it anymore supposedly, and some stores that carry it are not on the locator)..now a necessity? heh..

--------------

Some distributors may not like to share certain information and as noted in iBox

WNBD's CEO official response to questions about store locator accuracy is this: We do not "invent" stores to place into the store locator. There is always an impetus. That impetus is always external. This may be a distributor who provides the name of locations that have placed orders for Winning Colours or it may be a retail group of stores that has listed Winning Colours for their group. In the case of the latter, it is a feature of our Customer Service undertaking to the retailer that we provide the retailer's store locations - and it is expected of us as a feature of the buyer's decision to list the product. A retail group would not have us enter their locations if it was not the intention of the retailer to service customers at those locations by some means, in due course. By placing a retailer's location on the Store Locator site, consumers and stores are both assisted because the existence of Winning Colours Stain Remover within the retailer's computer recorded product inventory mix is revealed. It is simply a fact of retail operations that basic information like this helps bring consumers and retailers together. If we were to receive information in writing that our product has been formally or permanently removed from a retailer's product mix, then we would also remove those locations.

-----------

As listing mature into recognized 'banner' names nationally - such as Do It Best and national chains (Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, etc.) the need for 'store counts' and 'store locator' becomes less necessary to direct customers to specific stores, because a 'banner/logo' can/will serve to direct customers to suitable stores (these logos work well in Canada on billboards, etc. because product is available in the national chains - Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Lowes, Home Hardware, and WalMart again soon).
