Perhaps it was done, at least in part, to:
1. Prevent ERFW's share price from completely crashing to zero.
2. Placate long-term shareholders who have lost 99% of their original investment in ERFW.
3. Satisfy some tax or securities requirement(s).

IMHO, given ERFW's past PR practices, if they had "that part figured out," we would have heard about it.

ERFW is not a charity. Well, in a sense maybe it is. Nevertheless, how else could ERFW payoff the Angus LOC? Perhaps Angus will be given a fat slice of EBI?

I truly hope that that's a rhetorical question.

One must consider ERFW's historical performance to answer that question, otherwise any answer is nothing but speculation. Ask yourself this question: How well has ERFW done with the $47M of capital that it has raised over the past seven years?

ERFW's BOD have approved both and it could still choose to do both for a myriad of reasons. It's not a case of either/or. In any case, the plan is only as good as its execution.
