Ever notice when a stock like adhc is about to do a big run, usually the day or 2 before volume really slows up because nobody wants to sell?? They can anticipate it, its not too hard to do here if you read this board. But the day before big news and a run you usually see a big volume spike because the people that cant get in where they wanted to will buy it at whatever they can just to get in, they know they won't have a chance the next trading day.
