All of this is coming out of the Lucerne Pit they worked previously. Private land and mostly going into the hillside and not down much?. Stripping ratio is 1 to 1 which they seemed very excited about as most open pits are 5 & 7 to 1 or even some other crazy numbers. Some heavy hitters on the staff now, world class. I meet Steve Anderson last visit and he ran the Merrill-Crowe plant on previous production and now they have Dr. Edouard Zoutomou as Metallurgical Process manager. They are going for every ounze of recovery chemically possible.

One of the speakers at the Meeting was the Storey County Head Planner and he sounded like a cheer-leader for buisness and as mine friendly as you'll ever find. Spoke to the issue of Lyon County and explained where the county line was in reference to a audience question. Something like 4000 residents in Storey County and 4th smallest county in the country. There are alot more mine friendly people than the dozen unfriendly.

Protestors: Perhaps a dozen people? Mostly out of Silver City and concerned with development ruining their town. NIMBY as we all can somewhat emphazise with if you have kids etc. One was aboard the train with us Thur.and man they have their facts messed up. Only way they get answered will be LODE actually mining in a environmentally coincience way and with a proven track-record several years down the road I'm thinking they'll largely be aboard. LODE isn't mining in their county or in their city limits and other than drilling I don't expect LODE does any mining there for years and years.

Anyways much too much to cover and good two days. Bob
