Rant away my friend. My first good lesson with these stinky pinkies was learned in just that way. There was this fellow...I'm not saying who ( Hint, hint...lol http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=18191), that would produce these amazing charts and pump our play saying how the charts were showing a 'pinch' and pps was about to go. SUre enouhg, pps would go just when he said it would. Solid-looking DD was throw out there, pps was moving...it was exciting stuff. In fact, I went 'all in' cause he seemed to know what he was talking about...until that is stock started pulling back and he came onto the board talking about what a scam of a company it was, started pulling crap out of the air (fake DD, generalizations about dilution) and started bashing the play while most of us were still in it waiting for that ever-elusive penny. That fella did a 180 within the 24-hour news cycle. Unreal it was. I thought someone had hacked the fella's account and was pretending to be him. Silly me.
Oh man, I was upset. I fell for that crap hook, line and sinker, but I will say it did make me a better trader as I said to myself 'Never again'. Invaluable lessons for sure.
As for your 'dilema', like you said, things have a funny way of coming back around when one least expects it. I-Hub is not that big of a universe and once your reputation get's tarnished, you start losing those very supports one might benefit from.
