I'd say you probably need at least a hundred shares to qualify for a life ring. (If you do buy only a hundred - we need to talk.) It's all good.

Do your DD and make your decision. There seems to be a correlation between investor share size and company knowledge - but it's really a personal thing. I'm thinking 40 foot sailing cruiser myself.
