I think you are being conservative in your estimates, but that's a good thing!
The daily ups and downs don't bother me at all, but it was nice to see it close even.
I saw a lot of stocks close down for the day, but then maybe it's only my choice of stocks.
I'm still betting on the long game here.

By the way, glad to see you kept the avatar for a bit longer! What's the rule, celebrate for a week, or at least till they clean up the streets in Vancouver from the after party!
