excellent notes- thank you!

I'm especially interested in the potential of entering the China market down the road. Do you know the name of the company they plan to JV with?

Excellent notes! Thank you VERY much for sharing all of this, it is incredibly informative.

What areas do you think they are looking to hire? Not that I need a job, just curious as to which direction they plan on expanding in the immediate future.

I bet you were ecstatic when you got home and saw the share price after meeting with the company all day! :-)

Thanks so much for attending and letting all of us know the outcome!
One question: was there any reference as to whether they plan to train or allow other doctors (outside the ones they already have in place)to be trained on the procedure within the initial 12 month period?

Again, many thanks for your reporting!

FCSC—They have a JV with a company in China. If they receive FDA approval, they believe strongly China will approve LaViv.

It doesn’t work that way, Ron. Applicants have to run a successful clinical trial in China to get approval to market a drug in China. Then, there's the non-trivial matter of reimbursement.

Expecting meaningful commercial sales of laViv in China is a pipe dream, IMO.

I was also at the meeting. I agree with everything that was posted. However, I would also add that we were told during our walkthrough that they have enough equipment to treat just 2k patients at the moment. They will be adding more equipment to the existing space in order to target 5k patients in the first year. Not sure if this extra equipment will require FDA approval. I should have asked.

[Fibrocell] expects a lot of publicity from…their own advertising company which I believe is the same one Dendreon uses.

Maybe using DNDN’s ad agency is not the best idea.

Ron: "The company plans on using clinical investigators and about 30+ doctors in key areas such as California, Texas, Florida and New York. Doctors will want to offer this procedure to their patients because it adds value to their practice. The company expects a lot of publicity from news stations, cosmetic magazines and their own advertising company which I believe is the same one Dendreon uses. The company expects 5000-6000 patients within the first year."

It's clear that doctors are signing up faster than expected all over the country -- close to 300 at year end and will soon be around 600. If these doctors start prescribing immediately after training, FCSC can report a significant number of patients treated by the time they hold the CC. Fast business expansion would also make it easier to get financing, partnership funding or loan, to expand operations including manufacturing. Given the high number of hiring, something is cooking.
