Just as it was EXCELLENT DD when analysts called Fastow at ENRON. Fastow was known as a very easy person to contact and speak to in the investment community (although he was a real sumbitch behind the scenes). Many analysts were also invited to and did in fact attend enthusiastic shareholder/employee love-fests, where everyone's 401(k) was going to the moon. This "real DD" continued up until the very collapse.
